Grant Readiness – Grantli’s Organization Info Form
Lesson 3 Download: Organization Info Form
The “Organization Info Form” is a fillable single-page document that will contain your mission statement, organizational bullet points (population you serve, key activities, major accomplishments), and your potential project idea. Whereas the “Organizational Self Analysis” document from Lesson 2 contains ALL relevant history/details about an organization, this single page document will be a much more flexible and actionable item. It serves as a quick snapshot of what your organization plans to do right now.
Because of its concise nature, the document can help facilitate your communications with funders, both by phone and email. It can also serve as a useful internal tool: (1) to help those responsible for marketing, social media, content creation for newsletters/blogs, presenting organizational updates at networking events, or in other ways; (2) to share information with advisors or board members; and (3) to support grant research efforts by helping identify potential grant makers aligned with your organization’s values and funding priorities.
In essence – its your quick action form, where anyone at a glance can look and immediately understand what your organization does and is going to do.
(Grant writers: creating this document for each client can help in all the ways described above, but it also makes a perfect cover form for a folder with all relevant client material. We even suggest printing it out and stapling it to the front of your project folder – if you use folders! Otherwise, it can also be kept digital.)
